Artistic and technical director and curator

for events and light festivals

In addition to my artistic work, I have always worked at the interface of light art, performing arts and events, and I am inspired by the bringing together of memorable experiences and people from different backgrounds. I have worked as an artistic- and technical-director and curator in numerous events during my career. My goal is to bring together the best of international artists and create artistically ambitious programs. This is possible due to my technical and artistic expertise and extensive international networks.

I started Visual Festival in 2018 and this is unique visual art festival that is organized annually in my gardens in my hometown of Joensuu in eastern Finland. We had privilege in first 8- editions to bring top line artists from over 30-countries already to my gardens Botania. This project is working a s a platform and meetingpoint for young artists, artists that have been in the fiel for a while with the grand-masters of Visual art. Concept is a large fusion of artprojects that are mixed through monumental ambience. www.visualfestival.fi

My portfolio as an artistic director also includes Path of Light event with the City of Turku that i curated for 5-years and Valkea light art festival in Särkänniemi amusement park in Tampere that i curated for 2-years. Also i have worked as artistic director on multiple multi-art-festivals.

My portfolio as technical director includes hundreds of very complex projects including performing arts, media arts, events and special occasions. I’ve also worked as technical director in operas, exhibiotions, theatre and musicals.

I have curated and handeled full production also on multiple Snow- and ice events. This includes full production /curation on special snow-/ice-projects, like 1:1 replicas from Stonehenge, Easter Islands Moai heads and 1:1 scale blue whale made only from snow.
