FIRST INTERNATIONAL DAY OF LIGHT IN UNESCO HEADQUARTERS, PARIS

LIGHT ARTIST KARI KOLA GENERATED A PIECE OF LIGHT CALLED DAY AND NIGHT IN PARIS IN HONOR OF THE FIRST INTERNATIONAL DAY OF LIGHT.

The themes of the artwork are light and darkness, day and night, the sun and the moon. “I was honored that I was invited to take part in the first International Day of Light Flagship Event and bring light art as one part of this thematic day. I was delighted about the opportunity to be one of the speakers at this Flagship Event, as well.”

The International Day of Light will provide an annual focal point for the continued appreciation of the central role that light plays in the lives of the citizens of the world in areas of science, culture and art, education, sustainable development, and fields as diverse as medicine, communications and energy.
